January is the first month of a year, Japanese usually celebrate New Year's Days. Many people visit the shrines and temples appeared on this website during those days. Moreover, it is a good season for viewing pine trees in January. Deep green leaves under the blue sky look excitingly beautiful. Black Pine trees are symbol trees for the cities in former Katsushika area. Yoko no Matsu, the National Natural Property, in Zenyoji Temple and other many pine trees are in some noted spots in these areas.
