The Events and Flowers in Januray
January is the first month of a year, Japanese usually celebrate New Year's
Days. Traditionally, Japanese goes to Shinto Shrines or Temples at these
days, they call the tradition 'Hatsu Mode (The First Visit to a Shinto
Shrine and a Temple in New Year's Day). Many people visit the shrines and
temples appeared on this website during those days. 'Tsujikiri' and 'Obisha'
festivasl are held in January since few hundred years ago, so they are
registered as the municipal intangible folk cultural assets by Ichikawa
city. Moreover, it is a good season for viewing pine trees in January.
Deep green leaves under the blue sky look excitingly beautiful. Black Pine
trees are symbol trees for the cities in former Katsushika area.
Yoko no Matsu, the National Natural Property, in
Zenyoji Temple and other many pine trees are in some noted spots in these areas.
