The Blooming Cherry Blossoms in 2024 in Ichikawa and Edogawa

Spring in 2023 is coming. Some kind of cherry trees blooming in some noted spots in Ichikawashi and Edogawaku. This page presents some information of the blooming cherry blossoms in the landmarks such as Nakayama Hokekyoji, Mamagawa River, Mamasan, Shinkawa River, Komatsugawa Senbon Sakura Park. Both Ichikawa and Edogawa have many noted spots for viewing sakura blossoms, there are some kinds of cherry trees in the spots. Kawazu Sakura and Higan Sakura bloom earlier than Somei Yoshino. The information on this page would be updated day by day. Please check them and go to see the sakuras.

The Mid April of 2024, sakura blossoms have fallen down and wisteria and peony blossoms have started blooming. The wisteria blossoms in Koenji and Funabori Sports Park have bloomed. The peony blossoms in Komyoji, Enshoin, Zenyoji, Onjuin, Niibori Shakuyaku Park and Ichinoe Makkotei have bloomed. Roses have not. The Sakura Flowering Information in 2024 has finished.

April 13th of 2024, Botan Sakura blossoms in Chisenin Temple standing by the Niomon Gate of Nakayama Hokekyoji Temple have been blooming.

April 10th and 11th of 2024, there are many Yae Sakura Blossoms have started blooming in Funabori Sports Park, Furukawa Water Park, Kameido Chuo Park, Komatsugawa Senbon Sakura Park, Shinozaki Park and along Kyunakagawa River.

April 10th and 11th of 2024, I went to see Somei Yoshino Sakura Blossoms in Ichikawa, Matsudo, Katsushika, Edogawa, Sumida and Koto City. The sakura trees have still many blossoms in Nakayama Hokekyoji, along Mamagawa River, near Yanagihara Gate, in Yagiri no Watashi Park, in Mizomoto Park, along Kyunakagawa River, in Kameido Chuo Park, in Komatsugawa Senbon Sakura Park, in Funabori Sports Park and along Shinkawa River.

April 7th of 2024, I went to see Somei Yoshino Sakura blossoms in some noted sites in Ichikawashi and Matsudoshi. Some Somei Yoshino Blossoms along Mamagawa River and in Shirahata Jinja have fully bloomed but rest of the sakura trees have 70% of their blossoms on them. In Nogikuen, the sakura blossoms have fully bloomed. In Yagiri no Watashi Ferry Park, around Yanagihara Water Gate and in Junsaiike Green Zone Park, the most Somei Yoshino Sakura trees have 70% of blossoms on them. Moreover, millions of rape flowers paint on the bank of Edogawsa River near Yagirino Watashi Ferry Park and Yanagihara Gate, so you could see the yellow bank there.

April 6th of 2024, Somei Yoshino Sakura blossoms in Nakayama Hokekyoji Temple have fully bloomed. The sakura blossoms decorated many buildings such as Soshido and Gojunoto.

April 5th of 2024, I went to see Somei Yoshino Sakura blossoms in some noted sites in Ichikawashi, Edogakaku and Katsushikaku. the sakura blossoms in Guhoji, Ootsusumi Park, Shinodabori Water Park, Gyosen Park and Misato Park have been fully bloomed. A half o fblossoms on the sakura trees along Mamagawa River, Shinsakongawa Water Park, by Ukishima Benzaiten, in Tekona Reishindo, in Satomi Park, in Orihime Jinja and Ukita Park have been bloomed. Along Shinkawa River, in Mizumoto Park, in Sogo Recreation Park, by Shinozaki Gate and in Komatsugawa Senbonsakura Park, some Somei Yoshino Sakura blossoms are fully bloomed and others have not so many.

April 4th of 2024, I went to see Somei Yoshino Sakura Blossoms in some noted spots in Edogawaku and Katsushikaku. Some of the sakura trees in Shinkoiwa Park have 50% blossoms and the other have less than 30% of them. The sakura trees in A Block in Shinozaki Park have 50% blossoms, but they are in B block have less than 30% of them. The trees in both Furukawa and Ichinoe Sakaigawa Water Park have less than 30% blossoms, and Myoshoji by Furukawa Water park have fully bloomed Sakura trees. Most trees on the south bank of Shinkawa River have 50% of the blossoms but the most trees on the north bank have a few blossoms.

March 31st of 2024, I went to see how much blooming Someiyoshino Sakura blossoms in Edogwawaku, Katsushikaku and Ichikawashi. the most Someiyoshino Sakura trees by Shinozaki Gate and in Ootsusumi Park along Edogawa River have some flowers. A few trees along Shinodabori, Furukawa and Ichinoe Sakaigawa Water Park have some flowers. Most trees on the south bank of Shinkawa River have some flowers but the most trees on the north bank have few flowers. Most Someiyoshino sakura trees in Komatsugawa Senbonsakura Park, Shinkoiwa Park and Orihime Jinja have few flowers.

March 30th of 2024, Someiyoshino Sakura Blossoms along the approach road in Nakayama Hokekyoji Temple have some blossoms, but those by Soshido have few.

March 27th of 2024, Somei Yoshino Sakura blossoms on two old trees in Honkakusan Myoshoji Temple have been bloomed. The sakura blossoms in it are always bloomed earlier than those in neighbors. It might have hotter soil in its garden.

Mar 20, 2024 Fushihime Sakura in Mamasan Guhoji has started blooming.

March 20th of 2024, Fushihime Sakura blossoms in Mamasan Guhoji Temple have started blooming . There are a few blossoms hunging on the dropping tips of its branches. It will have fully blooming in middle of the next week.

Mar 16, 2024 Shidare Sakura in Myogyoji in Baraki Nakayama has started blooming.

March 16th of 2024, a few sakura blossoms on a dropping sakura tree in Barakisan Myogyoji Temple has bloomed. When the blossoms on it would fully bloomed, Somei Yoshino Sakura blossoms in Ichikawashi would start blooming. It means that Ohanami Week in Ichikawa has started.

Mar 13, 2024 Shuzenji Kansakura in Furukawa Water Park have fully bloomed.

February 28th of 2024, almost all of Kawazu Sakura blossoms in Ichikawashi and Edogawaku has been fully bloomed. Kawazu Sakura Blossoms in Satomi Park, Ichikawa Mimami and Myoden along Edogawa River, Niihama Birds Paradaise, Nagisa Park, Komatsugawa Senbon Sakura Park and Kyunakagawa River fully bloomed. Visitors might see them by this weekend.

Feb 24, 2024 a half of Kawazu Sakura along Edogawa are blooming.

February 24th of 2024, almost a half of Kawazu Sakura Blossoms along Edogawa River near Ichikawa Station are blooming. We could enjoy seeing them for a week or more.

February 24th of 2024, Kawazu Sakura Blossoms in Chisenin Temple have fully bloomed, but almost 30% of sakura blossoms by Nakayama Daibutsu. We could enjoy Hina Festa in Nakayama and could see the sakura blossoms for a week.

February 13th of 2024, some Kawazu Sakura Blossoms on two trees by Shinkawabashi bridge over Shinkawa River famous for Senbon Sakura (thousands of cherry trees) have been blooming. It is little bit earlier than last year.

February 12th of 2024, some Kawazu Sakura blossoms on the east bank of Edogawa River near Ichikawa Station have been blooming. It will be warm this week, much more blossoms will bloom in this weekend. However, the blossoms in Satomi Park have not.

February 10th of 2024, it is the final day of the Grand Ascetisism of Nichiren Sect held in Nakayama Hokekyoji Temple, but I could not visit since I caught a cold. But I went to Chisenin Temple standing by the niomon gate of Nakayama Hokekyoji to see Kawazu Sakura Tree to find a blooming blossom of the tree. Of course, I found one. It meant that spring has come in Nakayama. Anyway, Hina Festival in Nakayama would start from February 17 to March 3. Why don't you visit Nakayama?
