Walking On Okerakaido Ways From Nakayama Horse Race
In Japan, there are certain ways called 'Okerakaido' from horse races.
Near Nakayama Horse Race, there are of course Okerakido ways. After JR
Musashino Line 'Funabashi Hoten Station' opened directly connected the
horse race, most visitors use the station and few visitors pass Okerakaido
from Nakayama Horse Race. Now, the word 'Okera' means 'to loose all one's
money', thus, 'Okerakaido' means that the way people lost all money at
the races in Nakayama walk to the nearest station on foot.
Today, a way to Nishifunabashi Station is generally called Okerakaido from
the Nakayama. But Higashinakayama Station at Keisei Line was once named
Nakayama Horse Race Station, therefore, the Okerakaido might be the way
to this station originally. Moreover, before Nakayama Horse Race Station
was opened, most visitors could walk to Shimousa Nakayama or Keisei Nakayama

This shrine is the guardian deity of this town and Kafu Nagai, a famous
writer, had visited.
A well became famous as Kafu Nagai found and introduced it in his essay.
They look like the urban oasisi near the railway stations.
They were popular noted spots in Edo period.
The Landmarks along Okerakaido to Shimousa Nakayama Station
Nichiren had preached his first time on this place . Later, Jonin Toki
built a temple.
A small shrine relates to the Founder Nichiren, Nichijo and the Prince Yamato Takeru.
Visitors could enjoy seeing cherry blossoms and some important cultural
properties.
