Shinsakongawa Water Park
Shinsakongawa Water Park is built along Sakongawa River passing from the east to the west through
Kasai Areas in the south part of Edogawaku. Sakongawa River starts form
Sakon Water Gate on the west bank of Kyuedogawa River near its mouth and
it flows to the west. And there built paths on both banks of Sakongawa
River is named Sakongawa Shinsui Ryokudo, the river is gradually wider
and wider after it crosses over Kanjo Nanagosen Highway. Behind the Kaigan
Water Gate, there is trainning zone for canu polo and canu in the river
and a day camping zone on the south bank. Finally, it reaches at Nakagawa
River over Shinsakon Water Gate. Near Shinsakongawa Water Park, there are
some parks such as Rugby Sports Park, Sogo Recreation Wark, Shinngagshima
Water Park, an athletic ground, so the visitors could spend relaxation
time and working on some sports in simultaneously in the water park. Anyway,
some kinds of cherry trees such as Ooshima Sakura, Someiyoshino, Yaesakura
and so on bloom along the water in spring, and also many wisteria terrils
built in the park and wisteria blossoms bloom after the sakura. In summer,
some small rose gardens are set along the path along the river and the
roses paint on the water under the sunshine. Visitors could enjoy walking

- Shinsakongawa Water Park has great accessibilities from both Narita and
Haneda International Airport.
- From Narita International Airport, take Sobu Express Line bound to Tokyo
or Yokosuka and get off at Funabashi Sta, then transfer the line to Sobu
line bound to Nakano or Mitaka and get off at Nish-Funabasi Sta, then transfer
the line to Tozai line of Tokyo Metro bound to Nakano or Mitaka, get off
Kasai or Nishikasai Sta. Or transfer the line to Musashino Line bound to
Tokyo, get off at Kasi Rinkai Koen Sta.
- From Haneda International Airport, ake Keikyu-line bound to Narita, transfer
the line at Nihonbashi to Tozai line of Tokyo Metro bound to Nishifunabashi,
Tsudanuma or Katsutadai, get off Kasai or Nishikasai Sta.
- From Tokyo (Otemachi) Sta, take Musashino Line and get off at Kasai Rinkai
Koen Sta. Or take Tozai line of Tokyo Metro bound to Nishi-funabashi, Tsudanuma
or Katsutadai, get off Kasai or Nishikasai Sta.
- Take 15minute walk from Kasai, Nishikasai, Kasai Rinkai Koen Sta to Shinsakongawa

It has a large rose garden where roses bloom in beautifully in both early
summer and fall.
In early spring, Kawazu Sakura bloom, then azaleas and ajisai blossoms
bloom in summer in the park.
In the east end of the Sogo Recreation Park, a pony land is opened. Some
horses and ponies run in it.
