Ukita has some spots telling history and culture of Kasai
Ukita is an area on the northern part of Kasai in
Edogawaku. Now It is only a small area, but Ukita had been a large area that laid
on between Arakawa and
Edogawa River. Soon after
Ieyasu Tokugawa came in
Edo, the history of Ukita began. In 1596, Kihei Udagawa Sadauji started cultivating this land and he named it Ukita after his name. He was buried in Horenji Temple in Kita Kasai that was built on his house. The land Ukita could be said 'the mother land of Kasai Area'.
There are some beautiful parks in Ukita. Gyosen Park is special and there
are several parks having 'Ukita' in their names. They show urban residents
