The Jizo in Kaishosan Kezoin Temple was found when it was being brought
by flood in Sakaigawa River in Urayasu and the Jizo was dedicated beside Sakaibashi Bridge on Nekozane. However,
there was a big fire in Horie and the bridge was burnt down. To rebuild
the bridge, the statue of Jizo was moved to here in Kaishosan Kezoin Temple.
People have dedicated the Jizo faithfully since they believe that it protected
Nekozane from the fire.
In September 1969, the Jizodo Hall is rebuilt.

in Urayasu
The story about the three men played in late Edo period. Fishermen in Horie and Nekozane village in Urayasu conflicted with Funabashi village about the boundaries in the areas for fishing. The fishermen in Funabashi
insisted that Sanbanse (Kakiuchi) was their fishing grounds, but the fishermen
in Horie and Nekozane though they had common fishing rights. In January
1782, it was brought in the court called Hyojosho. Then, the chief priest
of Kezouin, Yuken, became the leading part, the people in Horie and Nekozane
took steps to fulfill their demands, they could not get any. At that time,
there were three men, Chozaburo, Chobei and Zenzaburo living in Nekozane.
Chozaburo went to the office of the local administrator to try to negotiate,
but he was arrested and died in prison. To hear the news, Chobei appealed
directly to Okitsugu Tanuma, a member of Roju (a member of leading vassals
in Edo Bakufu), and he was also arrested. Later, he was released, but he suddenly died
on his way to home. Zenzaburo lost his two friends, then he prayed for
Fudo in for 21 days. In March 4th of 1783, Zenzaburo extremely exhausted
heavy snow and died of cold on his way to home around Baraki in Ichikawa.
So the villagers in Urayasu were strongly united since they lost three
men. In 1788, their demands were fulfilled.
